Items for sale support the artist, the farm, youth artists and programs

For an artist, a passion can grow from the most humble of inspirations.

My interest in fiber art can be directly connected to my daughter's time in our local 4-H program. It started with a small knitting project and grew into animal husbandry, county fairs, and rabbit shows all around Northern California.

For me, working with fiber is almost alchemy, magic and chemistry transforming the mohair from our angora goats or rabbits, fiber from roses or the reuse of materials discarded, to create art. The pieces I create are  inspired by a memory, a place, or a person into something tactile that can be shared while evoking an emotional response when connecting to the material.

When our family decided to move from our cozy home in urban Oakland, we focused on finding the rare place with space to expand our interests in small hobby farming. It not only became our home but a laboratory to connect our family, art and architecture to the animals we raise, the plants we grow, and the stewardship of our small piece of nature we share with the local wildlife.

My daughter has blossomed into an artist with her primary focus in watercolors and textiles.  A few of her items will be pictured on this page when available for sale. Contact me for more info if you would like to support our artistic endeavors or purchase items produced from our Angora goats or rabbits.

Thank you for your support!!
